Does the tool support regex capture groups?

Yes. With Regex mode on, the replace field can reference captures like $1, $2, etc., the same way JavaScript's String.replace works.

What does "whole word" mean exactly?

Accepted Answer

It wraps your search with word-boundary markers, so searching for 'cat' does not match 'catfish' or 'scatter'. In regex mode it wraps with \b on both sides.
