Why doesn't the glass look blurry in my page?

backdrop-filter requires a background behind the element to blur. If the element sits on a solid colour the effect is invisible. Place it over a photo, gradient, or busy pattern.

Is backdrop-filter supported everywhere?

Accepted Answer

Modern browsers (Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox 103+) support it. Older Firefox versions may need the -webkit- prefix as a fallback, which the tool emits automatically.
