Why do voice options differ between devices?

This tool uses your operating system's built-in voices via the Web Speech API. Mac and iOS ship with the highest-quality voices (Siri voices). Windows has good standard voices. Linux often has only robotic eSpeak voices unless you install extras. Voice options are not under our control.

Question 2

Can I download the audio?

Accepted Answer

Not directly — Web Speech API outputs to the speakers, not to a file. To record the audio, use the Audio Recorder tool while TTS is playing, or your OS screen-recording with audio enabled.

Is the text uploaded?

No. Speech synthesis runs entirely on your device.
